Read(Char[],Int32,Int32) Method

Reads data into the application provided and advances the current position of the object.

Parameters

buffer: Character array to read data into.
offset: The location within the buffer to read data into.
count: Number of characters to read into the buffer.

Return Value

Returns the number of characters read from Teradata Database and written into the . The number will be equal or less than .

Exceptions

Exception	Description
System.ArgumentNullException	buffer is null.
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException	count or offset is negative, or the sum of offset and count is larger than the buffer length.
System.InvalidOperationException	The `TdClob` is null or TdConnection is closed.
System.ObjectDisposedException	The `TdClob` is closed / disposed.
TdException	The Teradata Database returned an error, or the .NET Data Provider for Teradata detected an error.

Remarks

The .NET Data Provider for Teradata reads the CLOB from Teradata Database and transfers the data read into the application provided .
